I've written before about my son's love affair with stickers, and since it's a healthy obsession, I'm happy to fuel the fire. Our new favorite--wait, I mean his! HIS new favorite sticker collections are from the Eyelike series, available at bookstores like Barnes and Noble or online at good old Amazon. Shoppers take note: These make perfect gifts for kids ages 3 to 103, and at around $7 per set, they're a great value.
My mom bought my son the Halloween set ealier this year, and it was such a hit I gave him the Christmas set as one of the activities in his advent calendar. He's been playing with it every single day since he got it, creating elaborate story scenes using the photographic (rather than illustrated) stickers of all shapes and sizes and subjects.
I bought the farm set for one niece and the colors set for my other niece, and I have a feeling we'll be welcoming many other sets (animals! ocean! bugs! sky! garden! seasons!) into our home soon enough. Like I said, they're about $7 each and contain 400 stickers. The cover says the stickers are "reusable," which I guess means they're just a bit less sticky than old-school stickers, but I can't really tell other than that they come off smooth surfaces pretty easily.
Here's an Amazon link to all the sets, including the forthcoming Dinosaurs and Baby Animals, which I'm totally not pre-ordering right now because that would be LAME. (Eeeeeee!)

Oh these ARE fabulous sticker collections!! I've often thought about mentioning them, and I am so glad you did now that I'm not here anymore. Sam used to carry them around like they were just picture books. We have animals, bugs and sea creatures. I . . . I might be going off to get more for Christmas.
