It's happened. The weather has finally taken a turn and it's GLORIOUS. Considering it was 97 two days ago and I think the high today is 80 is unreal. THANK YOU.
I finally had to put a jacket on my 7 year old this morning. Looks like I need to find him a bigger one, it seems. Luckily, I've got one on order, but that's for a different post.
What I did find recently was a great selection of boys' clothes from The Children's Place. I don't know about you, but it can be quite discouraging shopping for boys, especially elementary-aged ones. Either you have the outfits that are too young. You know, the ones that have a dog on the front, or some other animal that once was SUPER cute, but now seems a little less 2nd grade. OR, you have a wide selection of everything skull and crossbones in every color imaginable, but mostly BLACK, black and more black.
My kid seems stuck in the middle somewhere. Luckily, I've had luck at TCP and since they offer deals every other day, you'll always find something on sale.
Here are my latest purchases.
This skateboard tee is on sale for $7.00.
This rock star tee is also on sale for $7.00.
And what do you know? This super-cross tee is also discounted to $7.00.
So, basically my choices are sports, motor-cross, skateboards and music. I can handle that for a good few years.
I also found him some great slip-on cargo pants in khaki and navy that will work great for school. They are not on sale today, but they do have FREE SHIPPING.
How about you? Have you found appropriate gear for young boys at decent prices?

My son is in a weird place size-wise...can't really shop at TCP right now because he's in between the last toddler size and the first Big Boy size.
I have found good stuff at Old Navy this year. Cute thermals and they have some great elastic waist jeans that don't LOOK like "baby jeans." My son has trouble with snaps still, but I don't want him in sweats all the time so this is a nice compromise, and cheap too. They also have a 5T size so great for the in-betweens.
