I am a lover of t-shirts: crewneck, v-neck, scoop neck, short-sleeve, long-sleeve... you name it, I don't discriminate. I wear t-shirts under cardigans or blazers all the time, but a plain t-shirt on its own doesn't feel very work-appropriate. However, the other day I was browsing my local Banana Republic and came across the mixed-media zip tee, and BINGO! A super cute AND work-apppriate shirt magically found its way into my wardrobe.
This tee is made of rayon on the front, and t-shirt material on the back (business in the front, party in the back!). ((Sorry, couldn't resist.)) The rayon front makes it look a little more professional and the zip detail on the shoulders is just plain cute. It comes in cream as pictured above, as well as navy and a really pretty pink color.
This top will set you back about $40 unless you have a coupon, which I highly recommend. It is my personal policy to never buy anything at Banana Republic at full price, and I was able to nab it for 30% off thanks to an in-store promotion. YES!
Anyway, I think it's really cute, and it would probably look cute on you TOO.
