I've found a new "time suck" (which happens to coincide nicely with both of my kids going back to school...goodbye to the potential of precious, productive hours). Makeup Geek is my new favorite website to explore.
Makeup Geek has fabulous beauty product reviews, product smackdowns (my favorite) and tutorials. There are videos that correspond with many of the articles and I appreciate the fact that the videos are brief. I've tried to watch too many other Youtube beauty tutorials that are about 20 minutes too long. After 8 minutes of watching someone still applying foundation, I feel like I need a banana or an energy gel or something to make it through to the eyeshadow portion of the video. Most of the videos that I've seen on Makeup Geek are short enough (the ones that I've watched are about 4 minutes long) so that they hold your interest. Marlena (who, I'm assuming, is the mastermind behind the site) is easy to understand and fun to watch.

The downside to Makeup Geek is that I find myself suddenly learning about new products that I'm firmly convinced that I desperately need. This has caused my Sephora virtual shopping list (also problematic) to grow by leaps and bounds (and, as a result, my allowance to disappear exponentially).
Tell me, have you explored www.makeupgeek.com? Or do you have any other favorite beauty websites that I need to check out?
