You guys, I am a SUCKER for a good tote bag. My two diaper bags? Medium totes from Lands End. If it's canvas, I'm into it. I like that it's washable, sturdy, wears well and actually gets better with age, and can take some serious abuse.
Also, they're adorable. But that's a post for another day. This is about Halloween, and I know it seems early, but if you want one of these, you should order now. And PLEASE DO, for they are adorable.
Canvas? Check. Embroidered? Check. Monogrammable? CHECK CHECK CHECK. So much nicer/cuter than the standard trick or treat bag.
Behold the (very tiny, so sorry GAH) Lands End Halloween trick or treat tote:
It comes with spiders! Cats! Jack O lanterns! YOUR CHOICE. With your kid's initials on them! Here's where I get preachy and say that the full name is probably a bad idea, because STRANGER DANGER! I know I don't want some stranger approaching my kid all, "SAMMY! HOW ARE YOU?"
(Note to self, probably should have considered that before blogging.)
But please. Go get one. Initial that thing UP. It's only $25! And it will last for years! Hell, it will last longer than the number of years your kid will be trick-or-treating, sadly.

As adorable as these are, I'm so torn between something cute like this and the tradition I grew up with, a big old pillow case! This will be our first year actually (some what) trick or treating and I don't know which to do! (Such a life changing decision, I know.) I'm sure what will happen is I'll procrastinate too long and everything cute will be sold out and my kids will be left with a dingy old pillow case!
