How Would You Wear It: Drapey Cobalt Dress Edition

I found this dress at Modcloth and I have fallen in love with it. It's the Blue and Me Forever Dress by BB Dakota. This dress also comes in a really pretty green color, as well as red and black. Something about this blue spoke to me, though.

My first instinct is to wear it with brown boots and lots of gold jewelry. But what do YOU think? Would it be better with a statement necklace in a contrasting color with some delicate sandals? Or something that I haven't even thought of yet?

I also wondered about what I would wear over it if I got cold in the evenings. With those drapey sleeves, could I wear a cardigan over it? Or a wrap of some kind? Help!

My immediate thought was to wear it like a tunic and tough it up- replace the blue belt with a black belt, wear it over skinny black denims and hot shoes for a night out. I'd also wear it over red, yellow, or green pants with flats or wedges for a fun day look. I'd probably lose the belt and go with either a pop of color or a wide leather. If you had an obi belt, that would look great.

ummm, and within 60 seconds of reading this post, I've ordered the dress. I'll probably go boots (cowboy or riding), but that's just because dress+boots is my uniform. I could see doing some super high heels to sex it up a bit. thanks for the great find!
