This is a pair of fine-tip cuticle scissors, and they get the job done quickly and easily and with no casualties. Yes! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I have always cut both boys' nails with these scissors, and I know my mom friends think I am a danger-loving lunatic, but they are SO EASY and quick and I have never once nipped either one of my crazed sons' fingers in the process. YES.
