Y'all already know that I am over summer. I think pretty much any person that lives in Texas (or anywhere else that has had multiple days over 100 degrees) feels the same way. It's time to think forward to wearing coats and boots and tights and time to put away a lot of the summer items you are sick to death of seeing. But what if there are some items in your summer closet that you just can't bear to part with yet? Like maybe a maxi skirt that feels like pajamas? What then?
I say, figure out how to wear them into fall and in my opinion the best way to do that is with a corduroy blazer in a dark neutral color.
I picked up a blazer similar to the one above from Calvin Klein Jeans in a dark gray corduroy. Already in my head I have it transitioning my maxi skirt
with the addition of a midtone tank and my super high oxford booties
I also can totally use the same blazer to pull this Converse dress
into fall/winter with the addition of some purple patternered tights I have already (bought on clearance last year) and gray boots. I have knee high boots
or I could get some gray ankle booties
(which HAHA these are a TOTAL dream at $295, oh Michael Kors, I love you and hate you)
and of course I can wear that same blazer with jeans, my regular dark wash or even one of the brights that Rebecca mentioned yesterday.
It will go with pretty much everything I own and I can use it to transition other things in my wardrobe. What summer items are you hoping to carry through into the cooler autumn months?

I LOVE the maxi skirt- where did you get it?
