So, we've been in our new house for a couple of weeks now and I still feel like there is plenty to do. (Of course there is!!) Not one picture has been hung, some random things are still in a good few boxes and I'm still trying to figure out if the forks, knives and spoons organizer is in the right drawer. Is it? I DON'T KNOW.
BUT, I just received our carpet tiles I ordered from Flor.com and I am SO thrilled how they look! They are going in our family room as soon as I can piece the tiles together. Our room is more long than it is wide, so I needed something in between a 5 x7 and an 8 x 10, so a regular carpet wouldn't work for us. Plus, I can arrange each tile any direction I want for a different look. (and clean/toss one tile instead of the entire rug when some somebody in my house spills something they shouldn't have in the room in the first place.)
Now, I am all for stripes, but wasn't sure how they would fair in our room. It is the biggest room in the house and has vaulted ceilings, so I think having a busier pattern for the carpet won't override the room due to the amount of space.
(Note. This is NOT our family room. I wish!)
Our very own Elizabeth posted about maybe purchasing these tiles for her son's play area last year. Also, Meredith used Flor tiles in her daughter's nursery and found them darling and durable!
Note: Make sure you search for coupons online. Their tax and shipping can get pricey. I got 15% off my order which canceled both out.
Do you have Flor tiles in your place? Thoughts?

I was very resistant to getting Flor tiles initially, but now I LOVE them. We first got them for our office and dining room and they worked so well that we just got them to replace a rug in our family room as well. As long as I have animals and children I may never go back to real rugs. All of ours are cute, very busy patterns. They don't show dirt or fur and are super easy to vacuum and clean. Best of all, plenty of extra replacement tiles, though we haven't had to use any yet.
