We've had the same duvet cover for the past seven years. We bought it within moments of buying our king bed. It was lovely. It had stripes. It was from Pottery Barn (via eBay). It worked for us.
Well, it did until we moved into our new house. Now, all I want is something white, classic and simple. I want to walk into my room and see a huge, cotton ball begging for me to jump inside. I want the complete opposite from what we've had. I want a fresh start.
After finding something "this close" at Target earlier in the week, I had to go online to find exactly what I was looking for. I didn't have the capability to hit every store in town with my small people in tow, so perusing fine linens from my couch would have to do!
One of the places I went to was Ikea.com. Besides having a hard time navigating their bedding (the photos were SO small) they had a wide selection and, of course, great pricing. Once I figured out how to use their slideshow feature (DUH), I found the perfect one.
The only kicker is, this particular one was only available in their store. AGHHHH. Well, at least I found what I was looking for? So, road trip it was going to have to be. After dropping off my oldest for his first day of second grade (!!!!) the littles and I headed out on a morning road trip.
And what do you know? I found it! Plus, I spent $5 on 6 red wine glasses. BONUS FEATURE. Oh, and $2 on two ice cream cones. Man, those things are delicious.
So, what do you think? Cute AND well-priced! $69 for a King. Not bad, Ikea, not bad at all.

I have had VERY good luck with duvet covers from Ikea! They are so cheap, yet they seem to fit our duvet better than expensive ones. Not sure what's up with that, but I'll take it.

It's lovely. I wish I had a duvet cover that was similar to the Dwell Studio quilt I have on my bed. Then it would look pretty all the time instead of ugly. Because my current duvet cover is not cute. But it's much cooler to sleep with in the summer than the quilt. My closest IKEA is four hours away. But I still go several times a year. I might just have to join you in buying this white one.

I like it! We have had an Ikea king-sized duvet on our bed for the last 6 years or so. Every time I think about changing it, I realize that I still really like it and it's held up well through many, many washes.
