Now that my oldest child is in kindergarten, and my daughter has discovered the joys of coloring all day every day, I'm looking for some ways to display all of their masterpieces.
They have a ton of wall space in their rooms and I would like to take advantage of some of that space. My number one choice are these Art Clip Racks from Pottery Barn Kids.
The only thing I don't like is the $39 price tage for something that I could, if I were so inclined, probably make on my own.
I also love the idea of mixing some of the pieces from the Stanton Wall System, also from Pottery Barn Kids.
I really like the galvanized magnetic boards the most, and I think those pieces could really grow with each of the kids, and they could use them for whatever they want once they're past the age of displaying handprints in their rooms.
I've also seen an assortment of art cables, like these from Land of Nod.
Unfortunately, our own Christina tells me that these are terrible quality, which is unfortunate, because at $10.95, these were the budget winner of the group.
What do you do with all of the kid art that comes into your home, other than send it straight to the recycle bin?

I have two budding artists, so I have 2 systems. In the playroom, art is displayed on both a bulletin board and across the Land of Nod line system (we've had ours for years and it works fine-I added thumbtacks at each end to strengthen it). I also have twine hung in the kitchen, over our picture windows. I use small clothespins to rotate art. They love seeing their art at every meal.

I save the art throughout the year. It hangs on the fridge for a few days and then goes into a folder or bin. At the end of the year, or during summer, or perhaps in the next year (shhh sometimes I'm slow to get this done) I setup a lightbox and take photos of all the art. I then use qoop.com or some other photo book making site and make a photo book of all the art. And then I throw it away. So I don't have to keep the clutter of art,but we still have all the photos in a nice book to remember. I need to do one for my oldest soon, the pile is deep.
