Typically, I am a diehard drugstore mascara user. There are just many other things I'd rather spend $25 on than mascara, especially when there are some pretty good ones out there. But recently I have fallen in deep, expensive love with a mascara: Bobbi Brown Intensifying Long-Wear.
It was not love at first sight, though. The brush is very small, which initially annoyed me. It kind of took a long time to get all my eyelashes covered. But this stuff is amazing: it never smudges under your eyes, and when you want to take it off, it simply flakes off with splashes of warm water. There is zero smearing. Life-changing, I tell you! And I must say, now that I'm accustomed to the smaller brush, it doesn't bother me one bit.
I find that this mascara, combined with the Bobbi Brown long-wear gel eyeliner that I've talked about before, provides an extremely long-lasting eye that stands up even to heat and humidity. (AHEM, Southern California, this means you and your 95-degree temperatures!)
