I may be spending too much time on Pinterest because all of a sudden this DIY play kitchen by Sutton Grace (made from an old entertainment centre) doesn't look too difficult to make.
Does anyone have experience doing a project like this one? Am I foolish to think I could knock this out in a weekend? (Does someone want to just do this for me and deliver it to my house? I can pay you in bear hugs and chocolate chip cookies.)

Here's Young House Love's play-by-play of their play kitchen. Maybe that paired with the Pinterest version will help you make your kitchen a reality!

I bought our kitchen off Etsy, but built a play fridge to go with it. It was quite a lot of work, but highly satisfying. Here's my post about it: http://herewegoajen.com/building-a-wooden-play-fridge/
And here's the whole set up: http://herewegoajen.com/elizabeths-play-kitchen-all-the-details/ I really love the whole thing. Plus, it's in a really central location in our house, so I love that it looks so much nicer than the plastic ones for sale. So yes, I say you go for it. But maybe you plan two or three weekends for it.
