I've wanted a cable knit blanket for a very long time, and even though it's currently the middle of the summer, I am the proud owner of a brand new couch, and now seems as good a time to go blanket shopping as any.
Currently on my list:
This one, from Pottery Barn ($79.99), is by far my favorite, because it's soft and wonderful, and the red would look fabulous with my other decorations. Plus, it comes with matching pillows...
Unfortunately, I do very little shopping at the regular Pottery Barn store, so unless this blanket shows up in the outlet mall version anytime soon, I probably won't be getting it.
The Ralph Lauren one from Macy's ($59.99) is also a nice choice, mostly because it's bigger and cheaper (at least according to the online sales price right now), but it doesn't come in red. So...that's sad.
Or, maybe I could go all in with this cashmere version from Overstock.com ($161.99)?
Actually, on second thought, a house with two kids, two dogs, two cats, and one slightly messy husband probably doesn't need a blanket that is dry clean only.
I think I'm starting to see a trip to the real Pottery Barn in my future, after all...

I got the RL one at the Niagara outlets for about $30 in March. Doesn't help with the red situation though. I love cable blankets!

Check out TJ Maxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods. They have tons of those blankets for $19.99.
