We've had several suggestions on the blog for different stylish ways to store your jewelry. I've even talked about how I store my watches and bracelets by reusing my Fossil watch tins in the vanity drawer of my bathroom but recently we had another question on this topic pop-up on Twitter.
Caitlin writes:
This is actually something I often wonder about: How do you organize/store your jewelry? I'm accessory obsessed, w/limited space.
She goes on to mention a ring holder and delicate bracelets in trays, necklaces hanging on hooks inside of closet doors and other bracelets as well as earrings hanging on the rims Anthro latte bowls.
My closet and master bath area are one big weird open space with no door (I KNOW) so I've used the outside of my closet doors to organize my necklaces, earrings and non-cuff bracelets. In my opinion closet doors are a lot of wasted space that could be put to good use, so I just grabbed a few packages of these

I then put them up all over the outside of my sliding closet doors. (We have a huge, long, walk in closet but for whatever reason it has sliding doors instead of a regular door opening)
It looks something like this
(excuse the horribly lit iPhone photos, our bathroom area is WAY dark)
(also excuse the husband's "working on the cars" finger smudges, I didn't notice them until I uploaded the pic)
Not exactly stylish, I know, and I obviously I didn't take my time and measure the spacing, which drives my computer engineer type husband CRAZY, but it was very fast and does the job. This way I see almost all of my jewelry on my way in or out of the closet so making accessory decisions goes right along with clothing decisions and yet they stay out of the way. I also like how it uses up wasted space instead of making me use more space somewhere else to do the same thing. Plus, lets be real, the less things on a flat surface means the less that will end up needing to be dusted. If I wanted to dress it up, and stop being lazy, I could always add some decorative ribbon, faux molding or paint the ugly doors.
You could easily do this same thing on any flat surface, the back of a door, a free wall in your bathroom or dressing space (as long as it's not high humidity, I've heard that makes the glue strips come undone-I've not had any problem with mine however).

Do you have a lot of jewelry in a small space? How do you store it?

I use Anthropologie ceramic egg crates for all my earrings. They are all in one drawer...ok, two. But, it's easy to pull it out and see everything at one time.
