Father's Day is Sunday, and I have a pile of reasons as to why I have precisely zero gifts for my husband, but as that pile of reasons is not piled atop a couple of carefully-selected and tasteful gifts and there is clearly no time to ship anything I am going to have to hussle the kids out somewhere on Saturday between swim meets and play dates and actual plays we are attending and score some bling.
Here's what my husband wants:
That's the latest iPad, if you didn't know, and since I live near an Apple store I could actually do this, but since his current iPad is perfectly good and I don't want one so am not angling for the hand-me-down, I don't think it is going to happen. (They start at $499 though, in case someone out there is feeling more splurgy than I am this year.)
Something more realistic is a good set of old-school headphones. Ear buds are nice and all, but not super comfy. If you are shopping for a music lover like I am, Apple also sells these Urbanears Plattan Plus Headphones.
They are well reviewed, and at $59.95 a lot more wallet-friendly.
Let's be honest though, we all know I am going to Target. My husband has wanted to build a fire pit in our backyard ever since we attended a t-ball party that featured one prominently. Since I disapprove, maybe this fire bowl ($49.99 and sold in stores) instead?
Clearly I need some help here. Anybody have any other brilliant ideas?

You could still do the "experience" thing. Tickets to a baseball game or concert print out in a matter of seconds. :)
