We have owned our couch for almost 7 years. We purchased it when we bought our first home. It has taken me buying another house, this many years later, to realize I have never used anything besides the stock pillows the couch came with!
I am astonished that something so slight and inexpensive can make such a difference!
We were having trouble deciding what color to paint the family room. When you look through catalogs, painting websites and swatches it can all be extremely overwhelming. While my husband was out of town, I began searching for something that would give me inspiration.
I already have the color of the couch to keep in mind. We'd like to have a darker hardwood floor installed, but besides those two colors, I needed more to go off of.
Cost Plus had just what I was looking for.
This Block Print Patchwork Throw Pillow fit the bill. The colors went well with sands and browns, but it can also work with grays, yellows and even a coordinating blue. AH, yes. Finally getting somewhere!
I also purchased this matching Lumbar Pillow to go with it. I thought the different shape was nice along with some different details to help finish the room's color palette. Now, all I need is one more pillow, something solid to round out my "L" shaped couch and I'm all set!

Now, to just convince my husband that everything I have done so far is perfect and he should go along with it without question!
