I'm pretty sure that any time I leave my daughter's room, the number of rubberbands and barrettes and headbands and bows lying on her dresser multiply exponentially. That's really the only explanation I can up with for why any two-year old might have a different hair accessory for every day of the year.
I mean, it's either that, or my mother-in-law needs a serious hairbow intervention.
The problem, of course, is how to manage all of this mess without slowly losing your mind at the sight of elastic covering every surface in the room. Luckily, the same mother-in-law who is maybe the root cause of the mess is also the one who found the solution:
The jewelry box came from the clearance section of the Pottery Barn Outlet, and it's the perfect size to hold my daughter's ever growing collection.
For now, at least, it's nice to be able to say that the mess has been contained...

What a neat idea...pun not intended. Ry's hair accessories are in a plastic ziploc baggie in her diaper caddy. But now that she actually leaves hair accesories in her hair, it's just a matter of time before my mother's accessory purchasing necessitates a good organizer.
