My sunny front door

I wrote about toying with the idea of painting my blue front door yellow last spring. It was a whim of an idea, I'd seen a few photos online and it's my favorite color. Well, a full year later, nearly to the day (odd!) I did it. I painted my door yellow.

I'm very happy with it (for now, I don't know if I'll like it in the dead of winter or not). I think I'll take it up another notch and add our house numbers in black using this download from Jones Design Co.

Good idea? I'm a little nervous, this part will take a pretty steady hand. I can't wait though, and to get my summer flowers in the ground and to fill the pots on either side of the door. Should be feeling like summer out there real soon.

What color is your door, what color would it be if you were feeling brave?

I love the yellow! Our front door is...light purple (yeah), but I have dreams of repainting our whole house at dark navy and then doing the door a bright, bold red.

Love the yellow door!
My door is hunter green. I don't have a lot of options due to my HOA. It was green when I moved in. At least not a boring brown or black.
