In my guest bedroom there is a queen bed with no headboard. This is usually no big thing, since we don't have guests all that often and I honestly don't spend a lot of time in that room. It hardly ever bothers me.
But when I am in that room, the bed looks so random and forlorn just shoved up against the wall. (It probably doesn't help that I've not gotten around to hanging any artwork either.) I've been thinking about buying a very simple headboard, as a starting place for this room to begin to come together. The annoying thing about headboards is that fora relatively simple thing, they can cost quite a bit of money. I am not too excited to spend money on something I don't even want that much and will hardly ever see.
THEN, I saw this the other day and I wondered...perhaps this would satisfy my need to have something behind the bed?
It's a decal, made to peel and stick to a wall. This one is at Land of Nod and it's about $30. It says that it should be put on a non-textured surface, but my walls are textured (lightly) so I'm not sure this is a good choice for my house.
But, still. $30 to solve a possibly many-hundreds-of-dollars problem. I definitely like that idea.
Anyone ever done this?

OMG BUYING RIGHT NOW FOR THEO'S ROOM.

I have lightly textured walls and have discovered that big decals like that work well, while the ones with tons of intricate parts do not. Love the idea- I think it's super cute!

I love wall decals - especially these big ones - but haven't yet been brave enough to put any in my house! This one is super cute & I know there are tons on etsy, too.
