Do you curl your eyelashes? Should I?
I don't currently curl my eyelashes, although I have done so intermittently in the past. I never really noticed a major difference when I was curling my lashes. However, lately my eyelashes seem droopier than usual. Is this an age thing, or am I just becoming very good at finding fault with my own appearance?
I'm willing to add eyelash curling into my semi-regular makeup routine, but I'm not sure where to start. Can I just pick one up at a drug store, like this one by Revlon?
Or, is it worth investing in something a bit fancier. Honestly, even the pricier models all look relatively the same. I'm intrigued by this Laura Mercier model, but I'm not confident that I wouldn't clamp my eyelid in the process.
Help me look like a grown up who's not playing in her mother's make up drawer, and tell me what to do, please.

I love the Laura Mercier style. I use one from Japonesque. It curls my lashes way better than the other style.

I curl my eyelashes every time I wear mascara, and I will never pay more than what I can get at the drug store. Although, I don't think I've ever seen anything as fancy as that "pricier" one...But I'm cheap so I'm sticking with my curler from CVS.

I do not curl my eyelashes, but I've heard that taking a metal one and heating it a bit with your blow dryer before curling your lashes makes an amazing difference!

I think curling makes a huge difference. I don't think you have to go crazy expensive. Mine is the Revlon version and it has served me well for years.

Ditto to Jessica's comment - I use a basic drugstore brand (Revlon, I think), but I heat it with a hair dryer for 15-30 seconds and you wouldn't BELIEVE the curl.

It depends if you need one -- some people are born with perfect lashes, and then I have a friend whose lashes stick straight out. She has never curled them, and I totally wanted to pin her down and curl them. I got over that, but still. Ugh. I just use the basic drugstore kind.

I am a makeup minimalist but I am religious about curling my lashes. (TIP: When I was in junior high and not really wearing makeup yet, I learned to curl my lashes and put vaseline on them, which helps them separate and stand out without mascara. Credit: Seventeen Magazine.)
I have relatively long lashes but they are stick straight so may as well be nonexistent unless I curl them. Drugstore curlers are fine, but the springs wear out/break pretty easily. I buy the slightly more expensive ones at Sephora (Sephora brand) which last a bit longer. I've tried the famous Shu Uemura but it wasn't any better than the Sephora.
I also tried the plastic kind - not Laura Mercier but something similar - and it didn't curl my lashes as well, and you can't do the trick mentioned above where you heat it up and turn it into a mini curling iron for your lashes.

~ Thanks for your wonderful post!
I love all articles about eyelashes, mascara, as I have really straight lashes and when properly curled makes my eyes look bigger and gorgeous..
I so love sharing with others about great products.~ The best ever`` heated eyelash curler I have ever found is the Hot Lashes eyelash curler, makeup Artist kit. Loved the reviews on Amazon and was impressed. There is also a site of the same name Hot Lashes.com.
This curler is exactly like the Shu Uemura curler with a 24K gold plated curler and this small pink heater base. Keeps my lashes curling till the next day. and my eyes really pop...HTH~
