My sister is getting married in March, and to celebrate the big occasion, some friends of hers are hosting a bachelorette party for her in February. Because the party is being held in Indiana, and I am stuck down here in Georgia, I had no part in planning the event. Which is really too bad, because if I had helped plan it at all?
I would have definitely tried to veto the lingerie party theme they decided to use.
Because, really, who wants to wear lingerie that their big sister picked out for them? And even if there are some people out there that wouldn't mind it, I know for a fact that my sister definitely isn't one of those people.
Plus, my mom is going to the party. So that just adds an entire other level of weirdness, I think.
However, in the spirit of playing along, I think I've found a few options that might work:

{Satin Boxer Pajama Set - photo credit: victoriassecret.com}

I can totally get away with going the cute route, instead, right?
Now, if I can just find a way to get my mom to skip this part of the evening entirely, everything should be fine...

Seriously, the idea of buying LINGERIE for my sister is too much. Well done. WELL DONE.

THIS HAPPENED TO ME. I tried to avoid a Bachelorette party at all, which simply backfired in me getting the most ackward one EVER.
Besides my mom and my little sister, my "party" included my dad, my aunt, and my uncle and the peak of awkwardness, my mother-in-law handing me lingerie saying "I picked this out because I thought Matt would like it." Just kill me now.

Lingerie showers should be outlawed across the board.

Those are cute. Or, you could get her "something blue" to wear on her wedding day.

My friend had a lingerie style bachelorette party. Her mom was there for part of the party but stayed away during the opening of the gifts portion. At least one person gave her candy instead and suggested that they preferred to wear nothing at all. That's one way to avoid picking something out.

I'm anti lingerie parties. However, I'm not anti lingerie, so when my sisters got married I sent them each a Victoria's Secret gift cards (with enough $$ that they could pick out some nice things.) And then I told them I never wanted to hear about the purchases.

I like the Satin Boxer Pajama Set...that's not that awkward. But the gift card is a good idea!

While I never had any sort of lingerie shower, a few friends did go the lingerie/pjs route and luckily they went the cute/sweet route, which I LOVED and welcomed. My maid of honor even got me something more "sexy" and it was still very classy and pretty (short nightie with a matching robe) as opposed to something a stripper would wear. I'm sure your sister will appreciate you looking out for her.

The La Fee set is just perfection!

I bought my sister undies to wear under her wedding dress, full butt and thong, both in a pale blue.
