A couple of months ago, I wrote about the crazy, break-out prone skin that I'd developed post-pregnancy, which had me feeling more like an acne-riddled teenager than the thirty-something individual that I actually am. And it turns out, I was actually kind of spot on in this feeling.
You see, after reading that post, my husband, of all people, told me that if I was really having all of these problems with my skin (and obviously I LOVE him for not having noticed the problem before. Or, for not having mentioned it, in any case, if he did notice it...), I should start using this Panoxyl face soap he used. Which is the same face soap the dermatologist had told him to start using when he had skin problems.
IN HIGH SCHOOL.
But, because I was desperate, I started using it. Well, he uses the bar form of the soap, and to lady it up a bit, I decided to go with the foaming cleanser. But, as hesitant as I was to try the soap my husband had been using since he was thirteen, it actually worked. Apparently, I really do have the hormonal balance of a teenager.
So, I have that going for me, which is nice.
At least I finally found a solution to the skincare part of that problem, anyway...
