I decided to try finger knitting recently, after eavesdropping on a Twitter conversation about how easy! and fun! it is. A quick internet search led me to this tutorial, by Gussy Sews. The tutorial promises that this is a skill you can master in ten minutes, and I am here to tell you that this is 100% true. I have learned to knit and crochet in the past, resulting in many poorly constructed, and unfinished scarves.
No more!
The tutorial is for making a necklace or garland, but I took it one step further and made looped infinity scarves. Yes, I made multiple scarves, as each one takes less than thirty minutes, and the procedure is ridiculously easy. Look!
Truth be told, I made the necklace, too.
The necklace takes about five minutes from start to finish.
This fits all of my craft criteria: it's easy, inexpensive, and doesn't require a lot of tools that I may never use again. All you need is a skein of yarn in any color your little heart desires.
In case you haven't guessed, I'm packaging these and giving them as gifts this year. Trust me, no one will be expecting handmade gifts from this girl.

Megan, you have turned into such a crafty person!! I'm in awe. These are really cool.

I am one of those people that needs explicit directions, how did you do create the look scarves?

Samantha, I am one of those people, too! I just continued knitting until my scarf was the length I wanted it to be, basically by looping it on the couch next to me until it looked right. Then, I followed the directions on the tutorial for finishing off the ends. Rather than leaving a tail like on the necklace, I just tied the beginning and end of the scarf together with the tail of the yarn, and then wove that last bit of yarn into the scarf to hide it.

During the Governor's last campaign, someone complained to federal authorities that Brewer's son was receiving benefits while incarcerated. That person then--illegally--leaked this confidential information to the media. Governor Brewer's involvement was not as Governor, it was as the mother who filled out the forms. When filling out the benefits forms Brewer contacted the Social Security Administration on numerous occasions to ensure that she filled out the forms correctly. Prosecutors decided that there was no case. Brewer was never contacted or questioned by the authorities.

Ok so I tried it this weekend and it was horrible! I either need skinnier fingers or thicker yarn? yours look uniform and adorable, my outside looks were too loose and weird. Thoughts? Ideas? Guidance?
