Not long after I bought the eyeliner that changed my life, I realized I had a problem with my make-up bag. Using my sharply honed (by watching CSI) detective skills, I figured out that my pencil sharpener was leaking crumbs and smearing leftover eyeliner all over the place. But if I stored the sharpener elsewhere, I always lost it. So I could either live with a filthy make-up bag or buy a new sharpener every two weeks. These options left me unsatisfied.
The next time I found myself in the gauntlet of sample-sized temptations that is the Sephora check-out line, I impulsively threw one of these beauties into my basket:
It's a small sharpener that fits on the end of the eyeliner pencil and comes with a lid. Presto! I never lose it because it lives with my eyeliner, and the lid covers the blade and catches the post-sharpening leftovers.
It is not available on Sephora's website, but the next time you're in the store, check it out.
