I spent all day Saturday making homemade apple butter. I'm not sure what got into me, as I am typically more of your why-make-it-yourself-when-you-can-buy-it type of gal, but it turned out really delicious! But seeing how this isn't a Food Lush post, let's turn our attention away from what's inside the jars, and toward making the finished product pretty.
After the apple butter was done, I put it into jars to cool. They were just plain, boring mason jars, and I decided that they needed some sprucing up!
So after some late-night Etsy searching, I found some really cool options to dress up my plain jars. First up, we have this rustic option from Paper Route Designs.
Then we have these darling chalkboard tags from Snuggly Monkey:
Then there are these clay tags that you tie to the jars. I found these from the Vintage Skye shop.
Next time I spend all day making something homemade, you better believe I will be prepared with one of these cute labeling options! Any one of them turns plain jars into something suitable for giving as a gift to family, friends or teachers.
(Seriously, I don't even know who I am anymore.)
