I have craft angst. To make it sound appropriately dire, I have translated it into German for you: Kraftangst! Ich habe es!
See, I go on Pinterest or stumble through the field of craft blogs or make the mistake of getting too inspired by my fellow Style Lush writers, and before long I have eight dozen "simple" DIY projects on my to-do list, but only partial supplies for each of them, and never ever enough time or energy to actually complete them (let alone even start some).
In an attempt to make the whole crafting thing easier (a.k.a. possible), I'm building up my stash. Can you help? Last year for Christmas/his birthday, I got my son got an art jar from the Land of Nod (a smaller version of the jumbo I'm Not Bored Anymore Art Jar; the link to the Junior one isn't working). That was a good start, but I feel like it needs more fill. I upgraded to a bigger container (one of these from Ikea), and took ten minutes to organize everything inside the box so I could always find what I was looking for.
- white paper (mostly scrap from the printer)
- colored/construction paper
- origami paper
- crayons
- markers
- pens (gel and glitter)
- coloring and activity books
- watercolors and watercolor paper
- pompoms
- buttons
- glue stick
- liquid glue
- pipe cleaners
- feathers
- stickers (SO MANY STICKERS)
- googly eyes
- sequins
- beads
- mod podge
What am I missing? Do you have a kid-only art box? What do you keep in it?

I think that craft box sounds awesome. I keep meaning to get supplies for the same type of thing, although I want him to be able to play in it unsupervised by me so that means glue is out and scissors, even the safety kind, could cause all kinds of trouble.
Tiny paper plates are great for crafting, along with tubes from TP and paper towels.

We have a corner cabinet in our kitchen that serves as the art center. :)
