The people who know me well will laugh when I say this, but I love simplicity. I know, I know, my life is full of all sorts of complicating thing--a tremendously busy job, volunteer activities, random activities that make my calendar full, full, full--but that's exactly why I love simplification in other areas of my life and that's exactly why I love the idea of a uniform.

When my laundry pile grows unmanageable and I can't find that one black tank top or that specific pair of slacks, I always get the itch to box up all my clothes and buy ten great black dresses and be done with all the mixing and matching and sorting and layering. It might get boring, but, oh, it would be so simple (and simplicity is something I could use a little more of).
