Summer is upon us. Yesterday was the summer solstice. If you have little kids at home, you’re probably thinking the same thing I am: what the heck am I going to do with them all summer? I have a couple ideas. Nothing mind-blowing, but if you have a bit of outdoor space, and a bit of cash, these can help make your summer more fun and more enjoyable for everyone.
We bought this bad boy about a year ago. This is called a “mommy is having another baby and needs something to entertain a 2 year old while nursing” gift. Or you can just buy it as a “have fun” gift. Our son has had a blast climbing all over it since the day my husband put it together. I’m always surprised at the new and inventive ways he finds to play on, in and around it. This climber is $299, but if you visit their website you’ll see there are several sizes and styles at different price points. And by the way, who ever even heard of a “climber” until they had kids? Not me.
How cute is this table. Our little guy, who is turning 1 in a couple weeks, is getting it from Grandma and Grandpa. I think it’s going to be the hit of the summer. Crafts, snacks, barbecue, time out, whatever. This table can do it all. And it will fold up for storage in the winter. I think this price is pretty darn good for what you get. We’re going to buy the umbrella separately to go with it, so their iced beverages sitting in the cupholders don’t melt.
As an added bonus, I noticed both sites have a button you can click to search for products made in the USA. Even if you don’t have a preference, it’s nice to know where things are made. Go here to see American made products from Step 2 and here for Little Tikes.
Now go have some fun with your little ones. Happy summer!
