Make your own tutu

I've been seeing these tutu tutorials pop up for a while now but I was always skeptical. How could something that easy be cute?  I finally tried it the other day and really, it's SO CUTE!  And SO EASY! And cheap!  Tutorials abound but here are the ones I found most helpful:

PlumTickled is an easy-to-follow guide for using elastic.

This YouTube video shows how to make one with ribbon.

(I read in the comments that instead of sewing elastic, you could use a Goody headband.  GENIUS.)

How cute would it be to make several of these and give them out at a little girl's birthday party?  Or have your kids make their own or help you make them?  I really love this project.
