My son is four, and his entire life, he's always HATED hats. He's hated them with a fiery passion since the moment he was born, and I swear the reason he was so ticked off for the first six weeks of his life is because we kept making him wear a hat and he didn't know how to tell us that he would rather not be wearing one, thank you very much.
I can't tell you the number of tremendously adorable hats that went to waste due to this child and his hatred of haberdashery, but luckily someone out there heard my plea and my 11 month old daughter? She LOVES hats with the intense love of a thousand suns. She will scream "HAT!" the instant she sees one, and it was her first word. She yelled "HAT!" all through the Royal Wedding, and she lights up whenever I get out of the shower because I've got a towel on my head. Hats are her favorite thing ever.
So obviously, for her first birthday party, girlfriend needs a birthday crown.
Here are some of my favorites, all found on Etsy, of course:
Wool Felt Crown from Dream Child Studio
Whimsical Crown - Lilacs from StellaandLivi
Wool Felt Waldorf Birthday Crown from loveandlaughter
Felt Birthday Party Crown with White Flowers from thekidzclothesline
Custom Made Wool Felt Crown from dreamchildstudio
So, which one do you think I should choose?!

The lilacs one is gorgeous! I need that in my size!

I love the first one, but the loveandlaughter crown looks as if it will hold up to many, many dress-up sessions without getting too gross.

Haberdashery is such a cool word.
