I know exactly one children's song which I sing over and over again to the baby in my belly, though I only remember the first verse. "You Are My Sunshine" has been a favorite song of mine since I was a little girl and I knew that I wanted to incorporate it into the nursery somehow.
Lucky for me, I found the perfect sign on (where else?) Etsy. Now I just have to convince my husband that it is totally worth the $65 they're asking for it seeing as how we buy most of our pictures at yard sales or discount stores! (For the record, I think it's definitely worth it...it's hand-painted, gorgeous, and like the song, it makes me happy!)
Oh, and if you love it as much as I do, don't worry about it selling out as the artist makes these signs on a custom order basis; they take anywhere between 14 and 21 days to make. If this sign isn't your style, they have plenty of other really beautiful and unique signs that I would love to add to my collection as well.

That sign is awesome and I love that song! I know you said the etsy shop owner makes them custom but those colors are great together.

That is perfect! And I can safely say that 20 months later, that song is still a staple around these parts, especially when our gal is feeling under the weather.

Just stick to the first verse of the song, the rest is pretty depressing.

Ahhh for my next baby, I've ALWAYS wanted to do a sunshine themed nursery. Seriously just type 'sunshine' in Etsy and look at all the amazing stuff. It's perfect because it's gender neutral, and totally cute!

I added in this next verse which Noah loves:
You are my Noah, my only Noah, you make me happy, everyday. You'll always know dear, how much I love you, and my Noah you'll always stay.
It makes it more "our" song and I love it that much more.
