It's not yet summer here in the mid-Atlantic but the heat and humidity sure would make you think otherwise. When I'm not pregnant, one of my favorite ways to cool off is to enjoy a nice big glass of bourbon slush. It's sweet and sour and smoky and best of all, refreshingly slushy. In other words, it's delicious! My husband and I love it so much that we like to keep a batch on hand in the freezer year round.
Bourbon Slush
(adapted from RecipeZaar.com)
Ingredients
- 6 cups of water
- 2 tea bags brewed in 2 cups of hot water
- 2 cups of bourbon
- 6 ounces of frozen orange juice concentrate
- 12 ounces of frozen lemonade concentrate
Directions
Combine all ingredients and freeze overnight. I usually freeze my bourbon slush in large freezer bags, but you can use a plastic pitcher as well. Cheers!

Oh, at 34 weeks pregnant and it being 90 outside these days I'd pretty much trip an old lady for one of those. YUM! Will save this recipe for later.
