I love photography stuff - cameras, of course, but assorted accessories as well. And for one-stop shopping for all manner of gadgetry and a few special features I haven't found anywhere else, I like to go to Photojojo.com.
As they put it, "We find the best photo shiz anywhere."
As soon as you hit the site they tell you they're your source for "the most kick-ass photo tips, projects and more." Dig in. If you're a photo geek you'll really love it, and it's possible you will even if you're not, which in my opinion means they've knocked it out of the park.
Photo stuff, I want it. They source it from everywhere. What have they hooked me on just today?
Well, the Digital Zumi for starters, $190 with a 2GB memory card and lithium battery.
"Crafted to take digital images and videos that have the look and feel of vintage film," the Zumi has a "guess-to-shoot" viewfinder, a black and white video mode and sound. And I want it.
Fun picture frames that turn any photo into a Polaroid, $20.
The companion book, Photojojo: Insanely Great Photo Projects and DIY Ideas, contains 50 projects, ideas and camera hacks. DIY projects within include photo murals, snowglobes, ornaments and chandeliers. The mind reels.
And what would a photo book be without its own Flickr group? Not a Photojojo book, that's what. Check some of the projects out there. It's currently on sale for $25, with a magnetic photo rope.
My other favorite Photojojo thing is the free, virtual photo Time Capsule. Hook it up to your Flickr account and twice a month they send you an (unfailingly karmically appropriate, if you're me) selection of your own photos from exactly a year before.
There is also a Forum, and a monthly newsletter full of more photo tips and great stuff and really, I could just hang out on this site all day but I have to get some work done around here. Soon.
