In the past several years, I would say I have become more of an avid "chef" (cook) than at any point in time in my life. I am sure it has something to do with the growing mouths to feed in my household, but I DO enjoy it.
I take pleasure in it. It's gratifying. (Well, only when my creations turn out delicious. Otherwise, big waste of time, FAIL.) I'd say my growing love for cooking and baking has exceeded my supplies and utensils. I've started making some headway, but my list isn't short by any means.
Recently, it dawned on me my cupboards were in need of a makeover. I went through shelf by shelf trying to put everything I needed on a daily basis within reach and the things I only used once in awhile stored further in the back.
Let me tell you. It was THERAPEUTIC. (Let's not talk about the need to call poison control not long after I was done due to a small 2 yr old playing in the guest bathroom with a bottle of liquid Motrin in his mouth. Mom of the YEAR!)
I did notice my spice, herb and oils area wasn't working for me. It never dawned on me to do anything about it since all I've ever seen were the spice organizers for your drawers. But, I decided to head on down to Bed, Bath and Beyond with all the coupons they've ever sent me and see what I could find.
Now this Expandable Step Shelf Organizer isn't anything more than stacking shelves to display items more clearly, but it ROCKS MY WORLD. I tossed it in my cart and ran home (or drove rather) to put it together.
The best part about the one I found was the ability to expand. My shelves are rather long. I needed something to take up as much space as I needed, but not completely. Adjusting the size to fit my needs made this purchase Top Notch! Plus, the black/chrome was the "look" I was looking for as well.
(Unable to find exact item on their website.) Cost $19.99.

Very awesome...I use a lazy susan for my junk under the bathroom sink and the larger stuff in my spice cabinet! I even put one in my teenagers bathroom, keeps his junk cleaned up! :-)

I did this exact thing about a year ago and I love it too! I also got two lazy Susan's for above the stove for my redic collection of oils and vinegars- so much easier and I can actually reach all without needing a chair. Game changer!
