Sunday is my boys' birthday party. It's an outdoor party at a local amusement park.
And it's supposed to rain.
Well, there is a chance of rain. A GOOD chance, but it all depends on when it's going to rain. We could get lucky. We could not. I am hanging on to the words "spotted showers" with my dear life, but I am also trying not to stress over something I have no control over. (If I keep saying it, I may believe it at some point.)
One of things that is keeping me hopeful, are these awesome cookie jars we are handing out as parting gifts. As I mentioned before, I attended a baby shower about a month ago and received these cookie jars as a "Thank You" for attending the party.
I decided these cookie jars would be the perfect favor to give to my boys' friends for coming to their party.
A lot of the kids' siblings will be attending the party as well, making the total number of kids in attendance, 18. Trying to purchase and assemble favors for that many kids can be a little much, so I made one jar for each family to take home. It definitely brought down the cost and time spent on this part of the party planning.
I do have to say, gathering all the components for these jars was the hardest part of this project. Assembling the ingredients, alongside decorating the jars was the best and most rewarding part. I am completely satisfied with the outcome! What do you think?
Now, if the weather would just hold, I'll be a chipper chicken for days to come.
