I love Christina's living room. Can I tell you why? YES, I CAN, and I WILL, because that's why I invented Style Lush Cribs in the first place!
I think the thing I love most is how put together and streamlined her room is, while still being livable and comfortable. I also love how the all the furniture isn't shoved up against the walls, which is what inevitably happens in every room in my (admittedly kind of small, so let me make some excuses, please) house.
I love how it's accessorized JUST ENOUGH - no frivolous pieces of furniture, no collections, no collages of family photos. (Nothing against collages of family photos, but I just love how simple and yet, how finished and pulled-together the room looks.) If there's an area I fail remarkably in, it is Paring Down My Accessories.
And I love how she mixes pattern and color and it still looks effortless and warm. WITNESS:
Don't you just love it? I love how the fireplace is symmetrical without being PERFECTLY symmetrical and I love those dark curtains against a light-colored wall (Christina tells me it is Martha Stewart for Valspar in Cockatiel) and I love love LOVE that white chair. That white chair! Christina isn't sure about that fireplace (her husband vetoed a paint job) and she didn't okay me asking this, so SHHHHHH, but if you have photos of your fireplace makeovers, upload them to the Style Lush Cribs Flickr pool and give her a little inspiration.
A few small vignettes of Christina's room. Isn't that turquoise lamp fantastic? And it was DIY to boot! You can find out how she did it as well as see more of her room photos at our Flickr pool. Thanks, Christina! You have gorgeous taste!

I love Christina's living room as well. It looks so cozy and yet not cookie cutter.
I put pics of my fireplace make over in the SL pool!
But here's my blog post about it with the before's too:

I love all the colors you are mixing and how you anchor it with the neutrals. Very well done and inspiring!
