I stumbled onto this shop just last week, and while I instantly fell for the colorful, super vibrant art, it's the mixed media method the artist uses that has my fingers itching to click that "ADD TO CART" button.
For most of the listings the artist is using a combination of printing and hand-painting, and then each finished piece is mounted on ready-to-hang wood panels. I love the way each piece (or set of pieces) looks on the wood paneling.
A description of the work in the seller's own words:
"My shop is filled with random cheesy, cutesy, artsy stuff. I’m inspired by everything, but especially 70’s and 80’s design, rap lyrics, animals, movies, and oddities."
Have I mentioned I'm a fan of art that doesn't take itself too seriously?
Are you sold yet? Because the prices are ridiculously reasonable.
Some of my favorites:
Important Trip to Somewhere Important (Mixed Media Print on Wood) {36 USD}
Cycling Mixed Media Prints on Wood Panels {36 USD}
Tambourine Man Mixed Media Prints on Wood {36 USD}
And one I definitely think I need to own, since I have a black pug (Iggy!),
Pugg Life Mixed Media Prints on Wood Panel {36 USD}
Have a print you'd like to see featured here (either yours, or someone else's)? Send me an email at kladish{at}gmail{dot}com.
