Ah Spring, that brief shining moment in time where I forget I have heinous allergies and want to spend time outside doing something, anything, before the temperatures in Texas once again reach surface of the sun levels. All of my childhood friends from Arizona still have their lovely tanned skin whereas I resemble a member of the Casper family, even in the middle of the summer, because I am likely holed up inside where I am not going to be breathing water. I digress, the point of this post is not to rail against the horrors of Texas weather (specifically Houston) but rather to gush about my new obsession for something to do in the brief moments where it's nice and that is ride a bicycle.
I love bike riding, even in the gym, my torture machine of choice is the bike. I own a mountain bike (a Specialized Rock Hopper for anyone that is into that sort of thing) but lately, I have been swooning over the cruiser style and have recently decided that I need one. Have you seen them? *swoon* Plus, there are baskets! bags! bells! I may have jumped up and down in my computer chair over all the adorable bicycle accessories available, may have.

I recently (may '09) bought a Specialized Dolce road bike. I love it!
I saw some amazing engagement pictures where the couple was pushing along this type of cruiser bike in a field. It looked straight out of a J. Crew catalog.
