A month or two ago I was Twittering (uh, hourly) about how potty training sucked and how my kid was driving me insane and also? MY HOUSE SMELLED LIKE POO. All the time. A reader of my personal blog, Sara, read the tweet and offered to send me some Scentsy products to try, so that maybe we could go about our day without the stench of excrement burning our eyes. I said yes, and she sent me a Scentsy plug-in system.
And I love it, for so many reasons. (Let me just pause here for a moment to make sure you understand that I am not being paid or asked to say this - it's not something we ever do here at Style Lush.)
The Scentsy plug-in consists of a ceramic base and small, nightlight-sized, low-watt lightbulb that plugs into an outlet and warms small blocks of scented wax in a hollow at the top. The scents are wonderful (I personally am in love with the Baked Apple Pie scent), the wax warms enough to melt but doesn't get hot enough to burn skin (think paraffin spa treatments), and best of all, IT IS ADORABLE (mine is from the Dandy Collection).
(Pictured above: the Scentsy Botanical Collection.)
I always loved burning candles in the house, but not so much anymore now that there are little curious hands grabbing everything they can living with me. The Scentsy warmer is a fantastic alternative, and it isn't garish and plastic like every other home-scent system I've ever used (I'm looking at YOU, GLADE).
As Sara told me, "It's a wonderful alternative to candles, which many schools and offices don't allow because of the fire hazard. And you can use it 24 hours a day, since the lightbulb is just used to warm the wax!" How many times have I walked out of the house, driven somewhere, and then panicked that I left a candle lit inside the house? Well, NEVER AGAIN.
Yesterday, Scentsy released their new spring line, and thanks to Sara, we have a Scentsy plug-in system to give away to one Style Lush reader! The system consists of a warmer and three scents of the winner's choosing. (New spring scents include Cherry Limeade and Sweet Clementine, YUM.) For a list of all the scents available, go here, and to see the full line of warmers, you can click here.)
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment here before Monday, March 8 at 11:59pm. We'll randomly choose a winner on Tuesday! And if you have any questions for Sara about Scentsy products, you can always email her at ssbagley@gmail.com. Thanks so much, Sara!

The Groovy collection is adorable! And there are a lot more scents than I would've guessed. The Tangerine tango is kind of calling to me..

SO cute! Who doesn't like a great smelling house/room! Plus, I could use these on the days I realize BF put the trash in the backroom instead of taking it all the way out!

I discovered Scentsy in October of last year when I was tricked into going to a party. I hate parties that sell stuff. However, after smelling all the samples I ended up buying like 6 travel tins. Dude the travel tins are awesome for keeping in your car.
So yeah, I'm all about Scentsy now. Although I would never trick someone into going to one of their parties.
