I realize this is a style blog and all, but today I want to talk about sweatpants. I know sweats are considered "taboo" for many of you stylish ladies, but let me confess: the minute I arrive home from work and strip down into my comfy clothes is usually the highlight of my day. And if you don't have that experience, well...I just feel sorry for you.
Still, I try not to look like a total slob, especially if I have to step out to get the mail, run a quick errand or someone drops by. I want to be comfortable, without resorting to looking like a rumpled frat boy. And I believe I've found my solution:

These pants are amazing. Seriously. One of my big issues with sweats is that they're too heavy for sleeping---I hate waking up dying of heat stroke from too many layers, but these are just warm enough. The material is soft and breezy, and the pants have shape, but remain comfortable. There is a matching top found here, but I usually prefer a tank or comfy tee.
You can find these glorious pants here for $34.50. I know, I know---that's a steep price for sweatpants. But, these pants replaced my old pair of sweats from Gap that I'd had since 2001. Nine years of bliss ain't bad, right? I truly think this could be the best $34.50 you'll spend.

I have a pair of these and they are awesome! Perfect for lounging.
