I recently came across the terrific shopping site Blonde Birdie and was instantly drawn to these candle holders featured on the home page. I was in the throes of planning my son's upcoming birthday party and after the collapse of last years (burning) #1 candle, I wanted these the minute I saw them.

What's great about these is they can go on your table scape or on the cake directly. But, what's better, you don't have to keep them in a drawer until the next birthday rolls around. These can be used in so many ways. Add a number to the top of a picture frame hanging in your hall gallery or prop one in front of a photo on a table. You can use them to mark the year a photo was taken or the age of your pet. Anything with a time-line, really.
These are just $18 for a box of 20 (2 of each 0-9), and I was checking out without thinking twice.

Those are just too awesome for words. I'm heading over now to buy a set.

I had to come and comment on my own post- I just received my package and I am so in love with these! The numbers came in the wooden box pictured and the packaging included shredded recycled magazines (awesome) AND and hand written thank you note from the shops owner. What a lovely experience!
